Chapter 22 (provoke no enemy) | |
1. |
Do not provoke your adversary, |
|
2. |
so as to make him tell his thoughts. |
|
3. |
Do not leap to come before him, |
|
4. |
when You do not see his doings. |
|
5. |
First gain insight from his answer, |
|
6. |
then keep still and You will succeed. |
|
7. |
Leave it to him to empty his belly, |
|
8. |
know how to sleep, he will be found out. |
|
9. |
Grasp his feet, do not harm him. |
|
10. |
Be wary of him, do not ignore him. |
|
11. |
Indeed You do not know the plans of god, |
|
12. |
and should not weep for tomorrow. |
|
13. |
Settle in the arms of the god, and |
|
14. |
your silence will overthrow them. |
